Home/Services/Partition Walls

A new wall, without
your whole home in dust.

As a partition wall contractor across KL and Selangor, we install plaster partition boards using sealed work zones and low-dust methods — whether it's a single room divider or a full office fit-out.

01Low-Dust Method

A new wall, without your whole floor in dust.

Sealed work zones and on-site dust extraction keep partition work contained to the wall itself — the single biggest complaint we hear about other partition and ceiling contractors, and the reason many clients find us searching for a low-dust alternative.

  • Low-dust cutting & fittingSealed work zones and on-site dust extraction keep mess contained to the wall being built, not your whole floor or shop-lot.
  • Solid & hollow partition systemsFrom simple hollow plaster dividers to denser, load-considered wall builds, specified to what the wall needs to do.
  • Fast, local site surveyA partition contractor near you across the Klang Valley — typically on site to measure within days of enquiry, not weeks.

02Openings & Services

Doors, power points and load, planned in from the start.

A partition wall rarely stands alone — door openings, new power points and sometimes real load-bearing fixtures all need to be planned into the frame before boarding closes it in, not patched on as an afterthought.

  • Door & window openings framed inOpenings for doors, sliding panels or internal windows are framed and reinforced as part of the same build, not patched in afterwards.
  • Coordination for power points & switchesWhere new sockets or switches are needed on the partition, we liaise with your electrician so wiring runs land inside the frame before boarding.
  • Insulation infill on requestAcoustic or thermal insulation can be built into the stud cavity at the same time — worth raising if noise or heat transfer is a concern.

Signs You Need This

When a partition wall
is the right call.

Partition requests usually come down to needing more separate, usable space out of an existing footprint.

01
You need to divide one large room into twoA living hall being split into a bedroom and study, or an open-plan office needing a private meeting room, is the most common partition request we get.
02
A tenant or family member needs a separate spaceTurning a section of a house into a self-contained room — with its own door — for rental or extended family, often just needs a well-built partition, not a full renovation.
03
Your shop-lot or office needs internal wallsCommercial units are typically handed over as a single open space; partitions carve out reception, storage and staff areas to your actual layout.
04
Noise or privacy is a problem in an open layoutA partition wall (paired with acoustic insulation infill, if needed) cuts down on sound and sightlines between two areas that were never meant to be one room.
05
An existing makeshift wall is unsafe or uglyPlywood dividers or temporary walls put up by previous owners or tenants are usually replaced with a properly framed and finished plaster partition.
Our Process

From layout marking
to finished wall.

Most residential partition walls are complete within three to six working days; larger commercial fit-outs are scoped individually.

01

Survey & Layout Marking

We measure the space and mark the exact wall line on floor and ceiling before any material is ordered.

02

Track & Stud Framing

Metal track is fixed top and bottom, studs are set out, and any door or window openings are framed in.

03

Board Fixing (Dust-Controlled)

Plaster board is cut and fixed inside a sealed work zone, with dust extraction running during cutting.

04

Joint Finishing & Handover

Joints are taped, filled and sanded to a paint-ready finish, then walked through with you before we leave site.

Materials & Specifications

What goes into
the wall itself.

Partition specification changes based on whether the wall needs to carry weight, block sound, or simply divide space.

01
Galvanised steel track & stud framingStandard framework for straight, stable partitions that won’t warp or shift with humidity the way timber studwork can.
02
Single or double-layer boardA single 12mm board layer per side suits most room dividers; double-layer boarding is specified where extra strength or sound-blocking is needed.
03
Acoustic insulation infill (optional)Mineral wool or fibreglass batts inside the stud cavity — see our acoustic and thermal insulation page for when this is worth the add-on cost.
04
Reinforced openings for doors & windowsExtra studwork and header framing around any opening so the door frame or window doesn’t rely on the board alone for support.
05
Joint tape, compound & skim finishThe same taped-joint, multi-coat, skim-finished process used on our ceilings, so wall and ceiling read as one continuous surface.
Where We Work

Partition contractor,
near you.

We handle both residential partitions and commercial office or shop-lot fit-outs across the Klang Valley.

Kuala Lumpur

City-centre office and retail fit-outs make up a large share of our partition work here, often scheduled around building access hours.

Selangor

Landed home partitions — splitting a hall into extra bedrooms — are the most common Selangor request we receive.

Puchong

A mix of home partitions and small business shop-lot fit-outs, frequently paired with new lighting and power points.

Shah Alam

Shah Alam’s industrial and office parks bring us a steady flow of commercial partition and reception fit-out projects.

Kepong

Older landed homes in Kepong often need a partition wall rebuilt to modern standards after removing an unsafe timber or plywood divider.

Pricing Factors

What affects
the cost.

Partition pricing is quoted per project after a site visit — these are the variables that move the number most.

01
Wall length & heightThe core driver of material and labour cost, measured in linear metres against your actual ceiling height.
02
Single vs. double-layer boardingDouble-layer boarding for extra strength or sound reduction roughly doubles board cost on that wall.
03
Door & window openingsEach opening adds reinforced framing and finishing work compared to a plain, unbroken wall run.
04
Acoustic insulation infillAdding sound-dampening batts inside the cavity is an optional add-on, priced separately from the base partition.
05
Electrical coordinationNew power points or switches on the partition add coordination time with your electrician before boarding closes the cavity.
06
Site access & existing wall removalGround-floor access is straightforward; upper floors, restricted lift access, or removing an old wall first all add time.
Common Questions

Partition wall
questions, answered.

Cost depends on the wall’s length, height, whether it’s single or double-layer boarded, and any door or window openings. We quote a fixed price after a site visit — our online calculator gives a useful starting estimate before that.
